Another Missouri prospect commits
Two years ago Missouri lost out on a key prospect from New Madrid County Central. This year they were ahead of the game and picked up a commitment from Edgar Givens.
Givens, 6-4, 205, who projects to be one of the top 10 prospects in the state for 2004 gave the verbal commitment to Missouri.

"I went to a basketball game when they played Kansas," Givens said. "I loved the atmosphere. It was a great experience. They offered me a scholarship and I committed."
Expect Givens to play on the defensive side of the ball. He has consistently run the 40 in 4.5 and turned in an impressive 4.10 in the NFL Pro Agility Drill. He also has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Several schools including Illinois, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Iowa, and Arkansas have contacted New Madrid for film and sending a lot of mail.
