Outside linebacker Mike Hanson of Teaneck, N.J. now has more than a dozen offers in hand. The 6-foot-1, 215-pounder is listing Virginia, Wisconsin, Louisville, Maryland and NC State as his favorites and has offers from all of them. His athleticism is what makes him so special and college recruiters feel that he could grow into a very versatile player.
"I really started to receive a bunch of offers since the beginning of May. I'm still pretty wide open right now, but I would say the schools I listed are my favorites right now. I have more than 12 offers so far."
This past May, Mike ran a 4.12-second pro agility shuttle at the Elite College Combine and ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash at the NIKE Camp in Charlottesville, Va. in April. He certainly has the speed to play outside.
"Most of the schools are recruiting me as an outside linebacker and that is where I feel most comfortable."
Hanson made 85 tackles with seven sacks as a junior.
