Another Jersey commit for UConn

Fresh off a commitment from Jersey wideout Todd Dorcelus, the UConn Huskies received another verbal from one the Garden State's best Wednesday night.
"I committed to UConn tonight," said 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back Donald Brown from Red Bank (N.J.) Catholic. "Iowa pulled my offer last night, which was kind of a shock to me. I guess that's part of the business and you move on. After that happened, I realized I can't take anything for granted. It kind of had me stunned last night, but today it was back to focusing on the teams that did want me. Coach Wilson from UConn came in tonight and it was down to UConn and Wisconsin and I just felt better about them.

"UConn is close to home, I can get a great education and they're an up-and-coming program. I was hosted on my visit this past weekend by Terry Caulley and the coaches say I remind them of him a bit, which is flattering. I'm very happy with my decision."
Brown also had offers from Nebraska and Tennessee. He visited both Wisconsin and UConn before making his decision. As a senior he rushed for 2,026 yards and 27 touchdowns.
