Another in-state school after Williams

Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central class of 2015 athlete Mykelti Williams picked up his first offer from Indiana back in the spring. Now, the Hoosier's in-state Big Ten rivals Purdue are starting to pick up the interest in the 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect.
"Right now they are showing a lot of love," Williams said of Purdue. "I recently went down to a 7-on-7 camp down there and the coaches talked to me and showed me around. They didn't do that for every player."

Williams has also seen an increase in the amount of mail he received from schools like Arkansas, Nebraska, Purdue, Illinois, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame this summer.
"Nebraska and Arkansas, those were two that just came in new," Williams said. "I hadn't heard from them, then they started [sending mail].
"[Arkansas is] in one of the best conferences, I know that. I'm looking to do more research on the school and see how things are. I'm pretty sure I will see them on TV pretty soon. Nebraska is in the Big Ten, so that's another great conference I could play in."
While Williams will be tuning in college games on Saturday afternoon to see and evaluate the schools showing him interest, he also plans to get out and attend several college games in-person this fall.
"I know I'll be going to most of IU's games," Williams said. "Hopefully I am going to some of the Purdue games and hopefully going to the Georgia-LSU game. There will be at least a couple more schools, and I'll reach out to them and see when I could get down."
With one offer in-hand and many more schools showing interest, Williams will take his time determining which school is the right fit.
"Right now my options are open," he said. "I am going to look at every school and give every school an opportunity to get me."
The athletic and versatile Williams will be playing safety, running back and maybe even some Wildcat quarterback this fall for Warren Central, which opens their season Friday against Center Grove.
