Another impressive offer for Wells
Jacksonville (Fla.) Sandalwood star running back Maurice Wells has already had an impressive offer list that includes Ohio State, Florida, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Ole Miss. However, the list just grew again and this time the offer is from our defending recruiting national champion.
“USC offered him yesterday,” Sandalwood coach Adam Geis said. “Pete Carroll got his tape and then watched about 10 minutes of it. He then called and officially offered Maurice a scholarship.

“He told Maurice that they didn’t recruit a running back in this past year’s class and wouldn’t recruit a running back in next year’s class if he committed to USC. I know for sure that USC will be one of Maurice’s visits, too.”
Two weeks ago Ohio State was listed as Wells’ top team, but now that the Trojans have entered the picture the race to land the top running back in the Southeast might have just gotten even more interesting.
