Another Dorsey player to watch

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey has been a talent factory for years and 2003 is no different. Rivals.com was able to catch up with another Dorsey Don who is getting D-I looks in cornerback Christopher Owens (5-11, 175, 4.5).
Owens was selected all-league as a junior playing strong safety. The versatile Owens is playing cornerback for his senior season.

Because of his experience as a strong safety Owens is a very physical and hard hitting corner.
As usual Owens and his Dorsey teammates are in the thick of it for the Los Angeles title. The Dons currently stand 8-0 after shellacking Thomas Herring and his Los Angeles (Calif.) Fremont teammates yesterday in convincing fashion 49-14 Monday afternoon (November 3rd).
Before yesterday’s contest Owens had racked up approximately 60 tackles and two picks in seven games.
Again showing his versatility, Owens will see action as a wide receiver for their playoff run.
Owens has received phone calls since September from Colorado State, Nevada and Oregon.
Oregon State and Washington State are sending Owens mail.
