Four-star offensive tackle T.J. Leifheit is getting close to narrowing his list further. The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder plans to drop his list to five in the near future, but before he does that he plans to take one more unofficial visit.
"I'm getting ready to cut my list down to five from seven in about two weeks," he said. "Right now all the schools are pretty much equal. I'm looking at seven schools, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, Southern Cal, LSU, Florida and Florida State."
Leifheit plans to make a trip out West next week.
"I'm going on a visit to Southern Cal on the 26th," he said. "The first time I went out there I went with my dad. My mom didn't have the opportunity to go. This time my mom and little brother are coming and they'll be able to check it out. I'm also going out to a family reunion right outside Los Angeles, so it works out."
With an impending cut in his list, what will determine who makes his list of finalists?
"It's probably going to be how good of a relationship I have with the coaches and how comfortable I am with the program and education."
