Another Bryant to know in Georgia

There is some talent at Crisp County High in Cordele (Ga.) and Sirad Bryant is one of the younger prospects to know. The rising junior is a 6-foot-1, 185 pound defensive back who saw his recruitment take off in the spring.

West Virginia offered first. Then offers from Akron, Nebraska and Troy came in right after that. Schools like Georgia, Georgia Tech and Tennessee are showing interest too.

When a prospect's recruitment goes from zero to 60 like that in a matter of days, it can be a lot to take in, but seeing Markaviest Bryant, his older brother, go through this just a couple of years ago before signing with Auburn has helped with preparation.

"My brother set the bar, so I just have to keep it going and working to get where he is," said Bryant. "I learned a lot from him. I was right there with him, so seeing him gives me an advantage. It will definitely help me in the end when I have to make my decision.

"He has really told me to be patient, to keep working and it will come. He said this will be a big year for me as a junior, so I am just working to see what happens next."

It is still very early, and Bryant has yet to visit any of the schools that have offered. He has visited Georgia, Georgia Tech and Tennessee this summer, and he spoke highly of each program.

He is just taking this in now, and in the fall, he is likely to start getting out more to see schools that are recruiting him.

"I am looking forward to going through this now," said Bryant. "It is my turn and this is what I have been working for. The offers came in kind of quick and I am still learning about those schools. I am interested in each one right now.

"The offers have just pushed me to work that much harder for bigger things. I can't wait to get going and get out there to see what these schools are like."

Bryant finished his 2018 with 65 tackles and four interceptions. His grew up a fan of Oregon.
