Another Brenham prospect getting noticed

Brenham (Texas) was at or near the top of the Class 4A state rankings all year, finishing the regular season 10-0 before a shocking first-round playoff loss. The Cubs' main weapon on offense heading into the season was four-star receiver Derek Edwards. However, with opposing teams game planning to stop the Texas Tech signee, another player was forced to step up.
Tremund Moore is the receiver that emerged for Brenham. The 6-foot, 155-pound junior ended up leading the team in receiving and proved to be a big play threat for the Cubs. With Brenham loaded with top prospects in the class of 2012, the receiver is starting to receive interest of his own.

"I don't have any offers yet," Moore said, "but I've been hearing from a few schools. I've been hearing the most from Texas Tech, Texas State and TCU.
"I've talked to a few coaches. I've talked to the Texas Tech coach a couple times. I also talked to the (Texas) A&M coach before."
Moore recently joined a few of his teammates in checking out the campus of an in-state program. He plans to make more visits in the near future as well.
"I went to check out Texas State a couple weeks ago," he said. "I liked it down there. I went with some of my teammates. It was me, Shea Nutt, Jesse Baker, Robert Felder and Jerrid Gilmon. They didn't offer yet. They just said they're keep watching me and keep in touch.
"That's the only place I've been so far. I'll probably visit Texas Tech and TCU soon though. I'll go there in a couple weeks."
Though it is still very early in the recruiting process, Moore admits that one Big 12 school has a leg up for his services should they decide to offer.
"My favorite is Oklahoma," he said. "That's been my favorite schools since I was little. I've always dreamed of going there one day. They've sent me some stuff."
Since football season ended Moore has kept busy participating in a couple other sports.
"I play basketball and I run track," he said. "In track I run the 200 (meters) and 4x200. My best time in the 200 is a 22 (seconds)."
Moore was a first-team all-district selection this past season after recording 36 receptions for 589 yards and eight touchdowns.
