Another Big 12 offer for Wright

Anthony Wright got some good news Wednesday night after a track meet. He had received word from his coach that his second scholarship offer had come through and once again it was from a Big 12 school.
"I guess the Big 12 likes me or something," Wright, a 6-foot, 183-pound cornerback from Compton, Calif., said. "My coach said that coach Bill Busch from Nebraska had offered me. I just got word about it today.

"I don't know a ton about Nebraska now, but I knew that they were really good back in the 90s. I used to like them back then, but I hadn't paid attention too much to them here lately. I know they got a few kids from out here last year and the year before, so they're recruiting California kids more."
Wright also has an offer from Baylor and has gotten calls from San Diego State, Ohio State and UCLA so far in May.
"The San Diego State coach was tight," Wright said. "We talked for a long time, and it was really cool. I missed the coach from Ohio State. He left a message and said he'd call back.
"I also liked talking to the UCLA coach. They have a lot of interest in me. He said he was going to come back to the school and check me out and then offer me."
Wright banged up his hip a little bit recently, but he said he should be back to 100 percent for next weekend's NIKE Training Camp in Palo Alto, Calif.
