Offensive lineman Jack McDonald of Dorchester (Mass.) Boston College High School, who had already held offers from Maryland, Boston College, Connecticut, Duke and Massachusetts, recently added a new ACC offer to his total. He is also set to take two visits this coming weekend.
"I wanted to let you know I picked up an offer from Virginia the other day," said McDonald. "I haven't taken a visit yet. I'm going to try and visit in June or sometime around then."
McDonald, 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds, explained how he found out about his most recent offer.

"My coach told me to call them so I called Coach Reid," said McDonald. "I had been talking to them once in awhile for a few months."
McDonald is still in the process of gathering information on the Virginia program.
"I don't know too much about the school yet, but I've only heard great things about it," said McDonald. "I know the football program is also a great program, so I am very interested."
While he will look to visit Virginia later this spring, he has two other visits planned for this coming weekend and another one in the works for later this month.
"I'm going to Maryland and Penn State this weekend, and that's all I have planned so far," said McDonald. "I am also going to try and get down to Rutgers on the 28th, but I'm not sure if I can yet."
