Announcement on deck for Elder

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - College Park (Ga.) Banneker four-star safety Chaz Elder is set to make his college decision at Thursday's Under Armour All-America Game.
"I am choosing from South Carolina, Georgia, and Vanderbilt," Elder said.

At this point, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound defensive back says he hasn't yet made the final decision.
"Not quite," Elder said. "I am going to talk to my family again before I make my choice and we will go from there."
The Peach State prospect has previously taken official visits to Georgia and South Carolina. He shared what stood out about each of those visits.
"At UGA, I got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and talked a lot with them," Elder said. "I kind of liked that. We had a real good talk.
"At South Carolina I hung out with the players and had a real good time," Elder added.
Elder indicated that he will possibly take an official visit to Vanderbilt after his announcement, even if he doesn't select the Commodores. He says the Commodores are in the running for his services because of the job done by their new head coach.
"Coach (James) Franklin is building them up," Elder said. "They were good in his first year."
When Elder makes his choice public on Thursday, he says that three key factors will go into how he selected the right school for him.
"It is basically going to come down to where I feel the most comfortable," Elder said. "I am also looking at my relationship with the coaches and the possibility of playing time."
