Annan on Stanfords radar

Lake Forest (Ill.) Academy defensive lineman Wesley Annan holds more than 20 offers, but he was still working to earn more right up until the end of camp season.
"I went to Stanford and that school is amazing," Annan reported. "It was a good feel to be at Stanford. I did the camp and did the junior day after."

The Stanford camp took place the last weekend in July, and he came out of there with assurance that his performance was noticed.
"They ended up offering Ross Donelly, another d-lineman, but they said I am next on the board," Annan said. "They said to just play my game, work on a couple things and I'm up for their next spot."
Besides Stanford, Annan continues to receive new interest from other programs and plans to take his recruitment out into his senior year.
"Virginia, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss are schools that are in the picture now," Annan said. "They are going to look at my film this fall, so that is a reason why I am leaning towards waiting."
Several schools that have already offered have an early advantage in Annan's recruitment, but he is not ready to pare his list yet.
"There are a couple in mind that stand out right now but I don't think I am ready to talk about that list yet," Annan said. "The only (official visit) that I know for sure is BC. I really do like Coach (Ben) Albert, and I really like the school. That's why I think a visit there would be key."
The official visit date for Boston College has not been scheduled yet, but Annan will be discussing that with their coaching staff in the coming weeks.
