Ankrah visits MD
Rivals250 defensive end Jason Ankrah took an unofficial visit this weekend. The 6-foot-4, 248-pounder made his way over to College Park to check out the Terrapins.
"It was good," he said. "It was an unofficial. The game was wet.

"The fans weren't all at their best until crunch time. Then it was good."
While on the visit, Ankrah met with his recruiter, Dave Sollazzo.
"We just hung out," he said. "I also saw Coach Friedgen and said hi.
"I've talked to Coach Sollazzo many times. It was normal, nothing really different."
Aside from that, Ankrah spent time with some fellow recruits.
"It was fun. There were a lot of Maryland commitments there and I'm very familiar with those players. I want to go somewhere I'm comfortable with the players. They were laid back.
"Travis Hawkins went up with me and he's still pressing me to go there too."
Ankrah plans to take all five of his official visits in the near future. He is looking at trips to North Carolina State, Penn State and Virginia Tech still.
