Andrus talks latest Pac-12 offer

In the last few weeks, Martin Andrus heard from his coach that Stanford was highly interested in him and that an offer could be close. The Cardinal decided to offer the 2017 three-star defensive lineman from Los Angeles, Calif., in the last few days and Andrus said it's definitely a big deal as his recruitment continues.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Andrus is just starting his junior season so he's not in a rush. The 2017 prospect was pretty surprised by the new interest from Stanford and definitely happy the Cardinal offered. He could take some unofficial visits this fall to the local schools that have already offered - USC and UCLA - but don't expect any big decisions from the Los Angeles recruit this early.
IN HIS WORDS: "I really like Stanford," Andrus said. "When I talked to them on the phone I heard nothing but great things. They all seemed very excited to talk to me. Stanford will be a school I seriously consider."
RIVALS' REACTION: USC and UCLA seem to have the early advantage for Andrus but he's really just getting started with the recruiting process. Six Pac-12 schools have now offered the 2017 prospect and now that Stanford is on board many others from around the country could get involved. The Cardinal will be seriously considered but over the next two years the local powers will definitely have the first shot at landing Andrus.
