Andrew Bowman make his choice

Richmond (Va.) Hermitage linebacker Andrew Bowman has been very quiet about his top choices throughout the recruiting process. However, last night he finally announced his destination.
"Andrew is going to Virginia Tech," said Hermitage head coach Patrick Kane of his 6-foot-1, 220-pounder. "You'll have to ask him the specific reasons, but I think he liked the coaches and the defense as well as the opportunity there."

Bowman, ranked as the No. 30 inside linebacker in the county by Rivals.com, chose the Hokies over Virginia, Tennessee and Purdue. His mother said that proximity to home would be important.
"Of course I want him to be as close to home as he can, but the choice was all his," she said. "Virginia Tech is only three hours away so it's a nice trip for us to make on Saturdays. More importantly was that Andrew was happy with his decision."
