Andre Brown makes his choice

Greenville (N.C.) Rose running back Andre Brown, the No. 10 running back in the nation and a four-star prospect, has made his choice. So will it be North Carolina, NC State or Virginia?
"I'm going to pick NC State," said the 6-foot-1, 210-pounder this afternoon. "I knew I was going to NC State on Sunday, but then I had some second thoughts. The coaches just spoke to my mother and everything is cool. We're both excited about the direction of the program."
Brown, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, likes the way the running backs are utilized at NC State.

"They see me as a T.A. McClendon type of player who can get tough yards, break off a few and catch the ball," he said. "It will be competition between myself and Darrell Blackman for the most part and I look forward to it."
Brown finished off his senior year with 3,478 yards (NC state single season record) and an amazing 47 touchdowns. He led his team to the class 4A title and was named the game’s MVP.
Brown will make his official announcement at around 7PM EST on local television.
