Anderson picks up first offer

Plantation, Fla., wide receiver Burnon Anderson had a good performance at the Miami NIKE camp in April, but has still managed to fly somewhat under the radar. He has however picked up some offers and more could be on the way.
"I have a written offer from Florida International," Anderson said. "Rutgers is recruiting me harder than anyone and they have basically said that they are going to offer. Georgia is also recruiting me really hard. Schools like Florida State, Miami, Florida and a lot of others came by last month."
The 6-foot-1, 203-pound Anderson runs the 40-yard dash in 4.68 seconds, has a 27-inch vertical jump and ran a 4.5 second shuttle at the Miami NIKE camp in April.
"I still really like Georgia and Miami as my top schools, but Rutgers is probably right there with them now," Anderson said. "I am going to camp at Georgia and Rutgers this summer I know for sure and I may try to make some others."
As a junior, he caught 30 passes for 496 yards and seven touchdowns en route to a third team all-Broward County campaign.
"I am looking for a school with good academics and somewhere that I can play a major role pretty quickly," Anderson said "Weather and location are nice, but I won't really base my decision on any of that."
