Anderson has a leader

Reserve (La.) East St. John three-star running back Nigel Anderson approaches his senior season with offers from Arizona State, Washington State, Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, Tulane, East Carolina, ULL, and Western Kentucky.
He has options, and right now he has a few schools standing out.

"Right now after talking with my family my top pick is Tulane for now," Anderson said. "My second pick is Western Kentucky. They talked to me and told me I have a scholarship and I could come down there and make a big impact for their team.
"Arizona State, they're a little packed for their roster but they're still going to have an eye one me. Them and a couple of other teams. La Tech, Southern Miss, East Carolina, Washington State. I haven't talked to Washington State in a little minute so I need to get back in touch with them. All of those I just named have offered."
Tulane has made a definite impression on Anderson and his family. Under head coach Curtis Johnson the Green Wave made significant strides and the first bowl appearance in 11 years. However, it is the proximity to home which has Anderson's second offer at the top of his current list.
"I had a talk with my family about staying close to home," Anderson said. "Really it's my decision but for now I would put Tulane as my top choice."
In addition to his leader, he also has a few visits he would like to take.
"I want to take a visit to Arizona State," Anderson said. "I want to look around and see how it feels around there. Look at the environment and talk about academics and the future of becoming a Sun Devil. And Tulane, I'm going to go take a visit to Tulane. Another team ULL, I want to go take a visit out there. I might go out there this weekend to see ULL vs. Southern.
"I've been talking to the Georgia running back coach. They want me to come down there but that's a little far away. With money being funny it's hard to travel a lot. They want to see me personally but I've never gotten a chance to get down there. We'll see how my senior season plays out and hopefully I get an offer from them. I want to visit a lot of SEC schools like Auburn or Baylor or something like that."
When it comes to making his college commitment though, Anderson is in no rush.
"Really I'm not worried about the recruiting process right now," Anderson said. "I would rather play with my teammates and let my senior season build up and then make my decision after my high school career is over with. But you never know when that day will come."
Anderson is currently ranked No. 50 among the nation's 2015 running backs, and is 5.6, 3-star prospect.
