AMP: Irish pick up another elite Ohio TE
The Irish have some key positions of need in the class of 2010, especially at offensive tackle and safety, where the coaching staff has made several offers. Tight end is a position Notre Dame has recruited very well during the Weis era. So, the Irish have sent out just two offers to tight ends. This weekend, they landed one in Cincinnati Elder product Alex Welch, former teammate of current Irish star Kyle Rudolph.
