Amie finalizing visit plans

Tyler (Texas) Lee wide receiver and Texas Tech commit Jacob Amie anticipated taking some official visits before now, but football kept his schedule pretty full. It looks like he's finally going to get out on the road.
The 6-foot-4, 224-pound Red Raider pledge has been committed to Tech since early August, but still admits that he's "looking around right now." The schools he's looking at seem to include Oklahoma State and Nebraska. One of those schools has already stopped by for an in-home visit with the others planning theirs.

"Coach Randy Jordan from Nebraska stopped by yesterday to see me and stayed for a couple hours," Amie said. "We had a nice conversation. We've got my visit set up there for Dec. 8."
The trip up North will not be his first official visit. Amie has one planned for this weekend.
"Yeah, I'm supposed to be going to Texas Tech this weekend," Amie said. "I think my recruiting coach (Bill Bedenbaugh) will be down to see me tomorrow or the next day for an in-home visit as well. Coach Joe Wickline from Oklahoma State was supposed to be here today, but he didn't make it."
Amie says that he anticipates taking several visits and having a decision by January. Now that his football season ended on a second-round playoff loss, he'll have more time to get his trips taken.
Nonetheless, he wants everyone to know that he's still committed to Tech. He just wants to look at each and every option.
"I'm still committed," he said. "I just want to check it all out."
