Amerson has one official set

Four-star safety David Amerson out of Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley has scheduled one official visit so far. Where is the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder going?
"Right now I'm just trying to schedule officials," he said. "The only official I have set up is to Notre Dame for the Michigan State game on September 19th.

"I want to go there because of Coach Brown. I've been in contact with him and Coach Weis. I want to get out there and get a look at the campus and interact with the players. I want to talk to a lot of the coaches one-on-one. This will be my first visit there."
The No. 11 prospect in North Carolina claims three other schools are in the mix for officials.
"I know I definitely want to go one to NC State, Virginia Tech and Clemson," he stated. "I don't know the fifth or if I'll decide to take a fifth.
"Those are mainly my top four. I definitely want to get the full experience when I go on these officials. I want to get the all-around experience of the schools."
Amerson doesn't expect to make a decision until after all of his official visits.
In the meantime, football is the focus for the star safety.
"The season is going fine," he said. "We lost our last game by ten points," he said. "We should have won, but we're 1-1 now. I did well the first game with seven or eight tackles and an interception. In the second game I had about nine tackles. I did injure my foot. I bruised it. I'm trying to get it 100% for this week.
"I've been satisfied with my performance, but I think I could do better. I'm making a lot more tackles than last year and I've gotten stronger and quicker."
Amerson and Dudley face Northern Guilford on Friday.
