Ambrose holds strong with one offer

One scholarship remains on the table for St. James, La., running back Luther Ambrose and the mail keeps pouring in.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound running back says that with one offer from Ole Miss, mail has kept coming from Auburn, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, and LSU. Ambrose is just working hard in the mean time and taking things slow.

Despite all of that, he says he has one school in the lead.
"I'd say LSU," Ambrose said about a favorite. "I just like the facilities and it's close to home. I went to their junior day, that's the only one I've been to so far. That went good. I got a chance to talk with coach (Doug) Mallory. He was just saying how they wanted me to come down for the spring game and all that."
Ambrose says that he would like to get out to Clemson and Auburn in the near future for visits. He's unsure of the dates at this point. What he is sure of is what he's looking for in a school.
The Louisiana runner says that he's looking for a school with good facilities and an academic program that is known for what he wants major in.
"I'd like to do something with engineering," he said. "It would be either mechanical or electrical engineering."
Ambrose says his team is working hard in the off-season and should have a big year this fall.
"We're mostly everybody," Ambrose said. "The team is looking good."
The St. James back ran for more than 1,300 yards as a junior with more than 12 touchdowns on the ground.
