AM to visit LB on Thursday

After battling back from an injury as a junior and finishing with a strong senior season, Conroe (Texas) Oak Ridge two-star inside linebacker Marcus Smith has one more battle to win.
“I have to get my SAT score,” Smith, who is 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, said. “A lot of schools are telling me if I get my score, then they’re going to offer me. You know people like Miami, Texas A&M, Iowa State and a bunch of others.”

Smith said at this point, he’s probably going to take visits to Texas A&M, Iowa State and Houston.
“I went up to the A&M-UT game,” Smith said. “I gave the coaches my highlight tape and they called me about 15 minutes ago and told me that they were really impressed with it. They said they’re going to come by the school tomorrow to meet with me, so I’m hoping they liked what they saw.”
Smith said he does not have a leader at this point, but if A&M were to offer that might change things.
