AM-LSU battle about to be over

For weeks it's looked like a LSU and Texas A&M battle was going to rage for quite some time for three-star all-purpose back E.J. Shankle of Lufkin, Texas. However after moving deeper and deeper into his senior season the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Shankle said he's thinking about finally ending the process.
"LSU and Texas A&M are the only two I'm looking at right now, really," Shankle, who did also take a September official visit to Oklahoma State, said.

"I think it's going to be A&M. They send me letters every other day or so and I talk to the coaches every week. I talk to them on a regular basis and I like what I hear from them. I'll probably commit to them soon."
How soon is the big question mark?
"I'm taking a visit to A&M this weekend to see the Oklahoma State game. It will be an unofficial visit," Shankle said. :I'm not sure if I'll commit there, but it's the only visit I plan to take right now. My recruiting may will probably be over in the next month."
On the field, Shankle and his teammates face a tough Klein team this weekend.
"I'm not sure how good they are, but we won 47-3 last week," he said. "We were up 30-0 at the end of the first quarter. The whole starting lineup came out after that. I only played in the first quarter, but I had three catches for 78 yards, I think. And a touchdown.
"Then I had two carries for 18 yards or something like that. I almost ran a kickoff back, but I got tripped up just before I was gone."
