Aluko closing in on offers

Alief (Texas) Elsik is already home to one 2008 commitment in running back Jeremy Hills (Texas) but offensive guard prospect Emmanuel Aluko is cooking up interest of his own.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder is currently in the midst of off-season workouts for football along with participating in the shot put event for track. In terms of recruiting, he's getting significant interest from several schools including Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and several others as his junior year moves along.

"I haven't had any offers yet, but I've had a couple of schools say they're going to," Aluko said. "Texas A&M and Oklahoma State have both said that. Texas A&M has been recruiting me since the end of my sophomore year. They may offer me this summer. I talk to coach Van Malone quite a bit.
"I've been talking with coach (Joe) DeForest from Oklahoma State and they like me a lot. They just want to see my highlight tape."
Aluko says that he has a top three of Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State. The Longhorns hosted Aluko for their junior day.
"They've just sent me mail," Aluko said. "They said they're going to come see me in the spring."
The only other visit that Aluko has plans for the moment is to visit Texas A&M on April 14.
Aluko started as a sophomore for Elsik and has played everywhere from right tackle to left tackle and then to guard. He'll play left tackle this season but says he's being recruited as a guard or center.
