Alston picks up No. 23

This year the offers have steadily been pouring in for Quinton Alston, and that stream of scholarships is showing no signs of letting up any time soon.
The 6-foot-1, 218-pound inside linebacker from Sicklerville (N.J.) Timber Creek has at least one offer from each of the six major conferences in the FBS ranks.

Schools ranging from Baylor to Stanford, from Cincinnati to NC State, and from South Florida to Minnesota, have put offers on the table for Alston. In all more than two dozen schools have offered scholarships.
"I just picked up number 23 from the University of Virginia last week," Alston said.
While UVa is the most recent school to offer Alston has his eyes set on another school for an upcoming visit.
"I'm heading to Pittsburgh the first week of June to stay overnight and get to meet some of the players but no other dates are set in stone quite yet," he said. "I am going to plan some for the upcoming weekends."
As a junior last fall for Timber Creek, Alston recorded 80 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks.
