Alston lands more Pac-12 interest

MORE: Calif. receiver Peterson adds two big offers
Lavan Alston has four early offers and there is plenty of interest from the two local schools in particular - USC and UCLA.
The Trojans are of special interest since the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure standout saw his teammate Bryce Dixon sign with them this recruiting cycle and 2015 five-star quarterback Ricky Town is already committed to USC for next year.

Playing with Town in college would be a big deal to Alston, who is a big down-the-field threat and has outstanding speed.
"That would be good because I'd have a quarterback there that I've been working with for three years," Alston said. "Going to college with one of the best quarterbacks in the nation would be great. That would be really cool."
California, Oregon State, Washington State and Vanderbilt have all offered the four-star receiver, and he said the Bruins and the Trojans have reached out the most. An offer from either would be big for the 6-foot-1, 180-pound recruit.
"I've been hearing a lot from USC and UCLA. I've been getting a lot of letters," Alston said. "They said they love my tape and they're very interested. The coaches really like me and that's basically it right now."
No favorites have emerged yet for Alston, but he said the Pac-12 programs have reached out the most. He's still waiting to hear more from the new [Vanderbilt coaching staff.
"I'm just blessed to have all of them," Alston said. "I hear a lot from Cal and Oregon State and Washington State. I haven't heard a lot yet from the Vanderbilt coaches yet."
