Alston eyes some Pac-12 trips

Lavan Alston has never hidden that Oregon State is one of his favorites and he recently talked with the coaching staff about setting up an official visit.
"I talked to coach (Brent) Brennan and coach (Mike) Riley from Oregon State a couple days ago just to check in," Alston said.

"I planned with coach Brennan, it's not official, but realistically I want to take my official to the Oregon State-Oregon game for the Civil War. That's an official I'm planning with my family. I haven't planned any more though but they're coming up."
The four-star receiver from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure recently talked with Arizona State as well and could definitely take a visit there. Alston said Cal and Arizona are two other programs that intrigue him at this point in his recruitment.
Alston, a speedster who's rated as the No. 30 wide receiver in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, camped at UCLA and USC this summer but neither has offered. He said the feeling is that they've moved on to other receivers and he's fine with it.
For Alston, it seems like motivation.
"The last camps I really participated in were the USC camp and the UCLA camp," Alston said. "Since those camps they haven't really been in contact with me so I guess at this point I'll see them in the Pac-12."
Other than the probable Oregon State visit late in the season, Alston has not figured out any other trips but it's more than likely he will take some before making a decision.
Preseason practice is just getting underway so that's where Alston's focus is at this point. He's poised for a big senior season and that could mean more offers coming his way.
"Everything is good," Alston said. "I'm playing on both sides of the ball. I'm playing corner, a little bit of safety. Ricky (Town) is on point throwing dimes. Everything is looking good right now."
