Alozie closer to a Big East offer

Defensive back Okezie Alozie of Bethlehem (Pa.) Freedom has experienced some recruiting success thus far, but now he is looking for more. After attending several camps over the last month, Alozie may be close to adding a few more offers to his total.
"Recruiting has been good," said Alozie. "I picked up two offers this month and I'm close to some big ones."

The two most recent offers are from VMI and Liberty, which join previous offers from Army, Navy and Stony Brook. However, Alozie is the most excited about a few more offers that he may be close to obtaining after camping at West Virginia and Temple.
"West Virginia really loved me and their defensive staff came up to me after the camp, singing my praises," said Alozie. "They are gonna recruit me hard during this process. Temple said I'm in a waiting game with them, but they loved me."
Alozie knows that the early portion of his senior season will play a big role in his recruitment.
"West Virginia is right there with me," said Alozie, who is 6-foot-0 and 200-pounds. "They wanna see a highlight of my first three games."
Alozie still has the Akron camp this weekend, and hopes to take visits to Temple and Pittsburgh in the next month. In the meantime, he is preparing for his senior season.
"I've gained a solid 15-pounds, I got bigger, stronger, faster and smarter," said Alozie. "I'm coming off a bad ankle and meniscus injury from this past season, but I'm basically 100% now and ready to go and have a big season."
