Alosi makes his decision

Offensive lineman Anthony Alosi of Princeton (N.J.) Hun School decided to go the prep route to further enhance his recruitment. His decision definitely paid off, as offers began to come in, and last night he became the newest member of Penn State's recruiting class.
Alosi, 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, first discussed how the offer came about earlier this week.

"I got a call in the middle of the school day while I was in class from both Coach Anderson and my football coach," said Alosi. "Both had the same message to call them back immediately. When I finally called back, coach told me I had a full scholorship to play for Penn State."
Before his offer came about, Alosi had a chance to visit Penn State last weekend.
"It was really nice," said Alosi. "It was a special time for Penn State and a historic day when Joe Pa had his 400th win. There was something about the atmosphere that I fell in love with."
With the visit behind him, and now an offer in hand, Alosi discussed what led to his decision last night.
"I thought it over with my family and they always loved Penn State and that was their dream school for me," said Alosi. "I always loved Penn State as well, and it was close to home so that made it easier for my parents to watch me play."
Alosi had been receiving interest for both sides of the ball, so where will he play at Penn State?
"They said they loved me on both sides of the ball and I'm willing to play whatever position they ask me to, but my guess would be offensive tackle," said Alosi.
Finally, Alosi described his last few weeks, as he finally saw all of his hard work pay off.
"Coaches were stopping by or calling almost every day and it was getting frustrating having to pick between more and more schools, so after Penn State offerend I was deciding between that or letting my coach know that I was interested in the other schools that were calling," said Alosi. "Finally I decieded not to lead any other school on and become a Nittany Lion. Now that recruitment is over it feels like a lot of weight was lifted off my shoulders and now its just time to concentrate on training and working hard to get ready for next season."
