Alloway to wait on decision

There was a chance four-star wide receiver Damian Alloway would make his decision sometime this summer especially after an excellent unofficial visit to Notre Dame but that no longer looks to be the case. The Fontana (Calif.) Summit standout who has had a strong offseason plans to take some official visits and could wait a while through the fall before picking a school.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Alloway is working on setting up some crucial visits this fall and the only one he has so far is a trip to Notre Dame for its matchup against USC on Oct. 17. That is an important date because the four-star probably won't decide anything until after then since the Irish still look very strong in his recruitment. The Fontana Summit recruit is working on a Wisconsin trip for Sept. 26 when Hawaii visits and he said he could see Arizona State and Washington before making a commitment. UCLA is still heavily involved in his recruitment as well.
IN HIS WORDS: "Once I know where I'm going to go I'm going to commit," Alloway said. "Whether that's a couple games into the season or maybe after I really don't know."
RIVALS' REACTION: Many people close to Alloway expected him to make a decision this summer especially after he had such an outstanding visit to Notre Dame. But the four-star has surprised some by deciding to wait and take official visits, look at some other schools and not rush a pledge before his senior season starts. Notre Dame still looks like the team to beat, UCLA and Cal remain among the favorites and if trips happen to Wisconsin, ASU and Washington then those three teams could possibly get right to the top as well.
