Alloway planning UCLA trips

Damian Alloway wanted to attend the UCLA home opener last weekend but could not make the trip. That's fine, though, since the 2016 prospect is expected to see plenty of games this season.
UCLA, Cal, Utah, Washington and Washington State have offered the four-star prospect from Fontana (Calif.) Summit and he said the Bruins have been one of the most aggressive programs early on.

"I didn't get to make it down," Alloway said. "I couldn't get a ride but I talked to coach (Demetrice Martin) a few days ago and he asked if I could go. He really wanted me to come up there and meet coach (Jim) Mora.
"I texted him and told him I was going to make the next one for sure."
Alloway said Martin has been working on him for a while and the UCLA offer came this off-season. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete can play both ways but prefers offense - whether that's receiver or all-purpose back. Still, Alloway said he remains open to all possibilities once he gets to college.
"Coach Martin has been my recruiter," Martin said. "He was the one who offered me and we've really been building a relationship since he offered me. He's the coach that I've really been getting close to at UCLA.
"They're pretty much saying they're going to wait until I get up there to determine a position. Their thought process is the offensive side of the ball. They asked me what I would like and I said offense but they'll figure it out when I get up there."
More offers could be coming. The four-star said Wisconsin continues to pursue him and has been showing the most recent interest. USC, Arizona and other Pac-12 programs have also gotten in the mix in recent weeks.
