Allen takes trip to ASU

Kyle Allen did not spend all day at Arizona State but the 2014 quarterback had some quality time with the coaches during Saturday's junior day and the Sun Devils remain in serious contention.
The Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain quarterback said he talked with coach Todd Graham and especially offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Mike Norvell and it was nice to catch up with both of them.

Since it's still so early in his recruitment, Allen isn't looking at frontrunners yet but he said his relationship with the Arizona State coaches is strong.
"It was good," Allen said. "I didn't go down there until about 2 o'clock because I had to take the SAT so I really just talked to coach Norvell for about 45 minutes and then I talked to coach Graham for about 15 minutes and I headed over to the (basketball) game for 5-10 minutes and then I left to go home.
"Coach Norvell and I know each other since the beginning of last May so we have a great relationship. He was reiterating how he wants me really badly there and how he wants to recruit me. He said it was exciting to see me again since I didn't see him in a while. It's good to see the coaches again."
Allen, a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, said he closely watched Arizona State last season because it's a local school but also because it was Graham's first season. The 2014 standout was definitely impressed with the outcome.
"They did an amazing job last season," Allen said. "They were talking about some of their stats from last year and in their first year there with only three returning starters on offense they were No. 14 in scoring offense in the nation. They had a bunch of freshmen playing who did great. It was really an impressive year."
Allen's recruitment should be busy. He already has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, Duke, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and UCLA.
New interest is coming in from Notre Dame, Alabama and others and Allen said he wants to take his time with the process.
"I haven't really developed a list of favorites at all," Allen said. "I've been trying to keep all my options open just in case something happens. There aren't really any favorites at this point and I'm feeling everybody out."
