Allen senses excitement around Maryland

If anyone is qualified to speak on the excitement level around the Maryland football program this year Marcus Allen may be the man.
The Upper Marlboro (Md.) Wise junior safety has been to the Terps' games against Wake Forest and NC State, so he's been able to watch the team a couple of times. He's rubbed shoulders with fans, spoken to coaches and players, and watched the team's progress first hand.

It hasn't always been pretty on the field but the Terps do have a winning record and Allen likes the direction of the program.
"I like their attitude towards the game," he said. "I like how hard they play. They've been playing good and they've come up short a couple of times."
One freshman in particular has the 6-foot-2, 188-pound safety's attention.
"Stefon Diggs has been giving people a show," Allen said. "When you come to a Maryland game there's a lot of excitement and I like that."
Maryland, Pittsburgh and most recently Old Dominion have offered Allen, but UCLA, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Colorado, Vanderbilt and NC State have also been showing interest.
Allen said he doesn't have any other college visit plans for the immediate future.
