Allen reports two more offers

CULVER CITY, Calif. - Arizona State is the early favorite for Dejon Allen but the Compton (Calif.) Dominguez lineman said Saturday at the Asante Trenchmen Academy that he's not rushing a decision and has recently picked up two new offers.
"Yeah, they are up high, I'm looking at Arizona State a lot," Allen said. "My cousins didn't go to Arizona State but they live out there and I want to have fun if I were to go out there.

"They're recruiting me very hard. I don't really know much about the coaching staff but I'll get to know them as it goes."
Allen, a 6-foot-3, 265-pound prospect, is expected to visit Arizona State and Arizona next weekend and that will help him get more familiar with both coaching staffs. Since the Sun Devils have already offered and he's high on them, it could be an important weekend trip.
After seeing both Arizona schools, Allen plans to return to Los Angeles for next Sunday's NIKE Camp.
"At this time I'm just trying to get better," said Allen, one of the top prospects two weekends ago at the Badger Sports Elite Linemen Challenge in Las Vegas. "I want to get better and then I'll worry about college."
Allen reported that he has new offers from UCLA and Washington to go along with ones from Arizona State, New Mexico and Northern Arizona.
Since those two Pac-10 schools are new to his list, Allen said he plans to do more research on both programs moving forward. The Dominguez standout who performed well at the Trenchmen Academy said he's in no rush to make a pledge.
"I'm going to wait until the season progresses and then I'm going to commit," Allen said. "UCLA just offered and I like them but they just offered. I need to learn more about both schools."
