Allen ready for second Big Ten visit

New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy defensive back Franchot Allen has made one official visit to a Big Ten school. He has another coming up this weekend.
"I visited Michigan State when they played Penn State," Allen said. "I leave Friday for Illinois."

Allen says there are a couple things that have caught his eye regarding the Fighting Illini.
"I like their coaching staff," he said. "And I might be able to come in and start."
But it's not likely this will be Allen's last official visit.
"I go to West Virginia Dec. 9," he said. "I think I'll take all five visits."
When asked who he is considering for his other two trips, Allen said, "Florida, Iowa, and UCF, just those three."
Allen said all of the schools he is interested in have offered a scholarship with the exception of Florida.
"Michigan State has the upper hand right now since I've already visited there," Allen said.
The 6-foot-2 and 200 pound Allen played mostly cornerback this season, though he did move to safety on occassion. Allen intercepted five passes.
