Allen is a wanted man

Hamilton, Ohio, star Denicos Allen is one of the many players that could easily project at either outside linebacker or safety on college. While it might not be 100 percent clear what position he plays, it's 100 percent clear that he's a wanted man.
With offers from solid programs like Cincinnati, Iowa, Northwestern and Purdue already on the table, Allen, who is 6-foot and 195 pounds, said he's added even more offers to his resume.

"Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Louisville are my new offers," Allen said. "I hear from Iowa the most. They want me to play linebacker, the Will spot. Most schools are recruiting me as a linebacker, but I can play safety, too."
Allen said he's going to take a few visits this summer, including stops at several camps.
"I am going to the Ohio State camp and maybe the Michigan camp," Allen said. "Mostly I'll be going to the Big Ten camps. I don't plan on taking any other unofficial visits unless I hear from some other schools here before the end of May."
Allen said he's also getting attention from schools that haven't offered him quite yet, but he's pleased with the ones that have.
"I have heard from all the school I want to," Allen said. "Penn State came to my school to look at me one time. They just said they were still evaluating me. Last time I heard from them was about three days ago."
Allen said in the one of the big factors in his decision will be location.
"It's a big factor," Allen said. "I really want to stay close to home."
Regardless of the recruiting process, Allen said he's working hard to become an even better player next fall.
"I definitely have to work on my speed," he said. "I need to work on speed and coverage skills. My strength is pretty good, but I am working on that, too."
