All-State LB has two trips left

Pacific Grove (Calif.) athlete John Tyndall is one of the state's best two players and is getting looks on both sides of the ball. Tyndall has taken two official visits thus far and has two more left on the docket.
Tyndall, 6-2, 215 pounds is a three year starter and earned all-state honors for the second straight season this past year. The athlete totaled 141 tackles on defense but it was on offense where he really shined.

Tyndall rushed for 1,552 yards and 27 touchdowns and was named his area's offensive player of the year.
"I've always thought of myself as more of a defensive guy," Tyndall said. "To be honest though, I like playing fullback and that's where some of the schools have started to recruit me. It really doesn't matter to me where I play, I honestly don't have a preference between the two."
Tyndall took an official visit to San Jose State back in December and visited Army two weeks ago. He'll visit Cal this weekend and Cal Poly in two weeks.
"Everyone has offered except Cal," Tyndal said. "They have actually talked to me about a grey-shirt but if they have spots left, then they would be bring me in this year. It just depends on who else they sign and how they finish up their class.
"I really haven't thought a lot about the grey-shirt idea. That's' something I'm sure I'll discuss with them a lot while I'm on my visit. I just want to take these next two visits and then I'll decide what the best thing for me to do is."
