All-City selection finds new home

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey's lost one of their standouts from a year ago because he has moved out of the area. Since the move this talented football player has been somewhat lost in the shuffle. His recruiting mail first goes to Dorsey before being forwarded to his new school. Even though coaches are looking for him over at Dorsey, he is still doing a good job drawing D-I coaches to his new high school.

The player in question is Bobby Epps (6-2, 230, 4.7) and you can now find him at Little Rock, Calif.

Losing a player the caliber of Epps is definitely Dorsey's loss and Little Rock's gain.

Epps was a first-team all-city and first-team all-league selection for a team that made all the way to the City Championship a year ago.

Playing on a team loaded with D-I talent Epps still stood out. He racked up 85 tackles, 26 tackles for loss and ten sacks as a junior. He broke the school record for quarterback pressures.

The amazing thing is he applied this type of pressure from the inside as a defensive tackle. He has great up field push and makes plays in the opposition's backfield.

One person who will sincerely miss the presence of Epps is Dorsey defensive coordinator Ralph Caldwell.

"Bobby is very quick off the ball," Caldwell said. "Though he played defensive tackle for us, Bobby will project as a defensive end or outside linebacker in college."

Though Epps was getting lost in the shuffle before the transfer according to Caldwell, he had offers from UCLA and Baylor.

Epps has also heard from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Georgia Tech and Utah.

Look for this list to expand once other colleges find out the location of Epps.

What is Epps looking for in a college?

"Honestly it doesn't matter to where I go to school as long as I'm comfortable with the coaches and players," Epps said. "If I have to play out of state, I won't mind. I will adjust, just like I'm doing right now with my current move, I'm adjusting."
