All 360 pounds of Kwatrivous Johnson loves Mississippi State

HARVEY, La.Kwatrivous Johnson is one large young man. At the Rivals 3-Stripe Camp New Orleans, he checked in at a shade under 6-feet, 9-inches tall and right at 360 pounds. The offensive tackle out of Greenwood (Miss.) has his mind on school and improving his game at offensive tackle because his recruitment is over with.

Johnson committed to Mississippi State January 18 and it doesn't seem like his commitment could be any stronger.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I am a Mississippi State guy all the way," said Johnson. "I have been there nine times and I have grown up a fan of Mississippi State. I have been to games there, I have camped there, I have just been there for visits and I love it all.

"What I love the most is how the coaches have taken me in like I am one of their kids. They bring you in, they talk to you like they care about you and that made me love the school even more.

"I stay in contact with coach [John] Hevesy, the offensive line coach and call and text every once in a while. He checks in on me, I check in on him and we have a great relationship. I have worked with him at camp and I like his style. He teaches great fundamentals, he works on the little things and I like that.

"Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and some other schools are still recruiting me, but I am not even listening to them. There is going to be no change in my mind. I am going to Mississippi State."

RIVALS REACTION: This one seems to be done. Johnson's dream is coming true. He grew up a big fan of Mississippi State, his name is on their 2018 commitment list and he is set on being a Bulldog. Johnson stands out immediately due to his size. He needs to refine his game at tackle and improve his footwork and strength, but he has that size that you cannot coach. Look for Johnson to be back at Starkville this spring.
