Alexander talks official visits

Tyrell Alexander is one of the top athletes in Texas which also means one of the best in the nation. Lancaster (Texas) produces a number of DI recruits every year and Alexander is another in that long line. Alexander says that he's excited for his senior season to begin and their only pre-season scrimmage is this Friday night.
"I am just getting home from practice," Alexander said. "I am really ready for the season to being and to get after it. We play Prosper this Friday for a scrimmage game. This will be our only scrimmage before the season. Our season opener is next week."

Alexander knows that there are high expectations for Lancaster and he says that he feels that this year's team is worthy of those expectations. The team may be talented, but he said that there are a number of players -- particularly on the offensive line -- that have had to step up their game.
"I feel like we have a very good chance to go on a very deep run this year in the playoffs. We are a very young team. There are three offensive line replacements from last year to this year. They are picking it up good and will be fine."
The three-star athlete will be playing all over on the football field this fall for Lancaster. Alexander says that he will see time under center and at a couple of different receiver spots. Additionally, he will be play a couple of different spots in the secondary while also playing a role in the return game for Lancaster.
"I will he playing slot, outside receiver, safety, cornerback and quarterback," Alexander said. "I am also the kickoff returner as well. All of the schools like me to play wide receiver for the most part. There are a few offers for me to play cornerback. I would prefer to play offense in college, but i would consider playing cornerback."
There is a double-digit offer total for Alexander on the table and he has taken some trips to see some schools already. Recently Alexander has started giving some thought to which schools he will officially visit and it will mainly consist of schools that he hasn't visited yet and he will take visits this fall during the season.
"I have 15 offers," Alexander said. "I've been thinking about my official visits the last few days. I have been thinking that I would take my official visits to schools that I haven't checked out before. I haven't checked out Arizona State, West Virginia, Texas Tech and Iowa State. All of those schools like me as a receiver except for West Virginia. They like me at cornerback.
"I am going to take some trips during the season. I have to talk with my coaches about the schools and then get all of the visits scheduled."
