Alexander plans first fall visit

Iowa City (Iowa) West 2013 wide receiver Dondre Alexander woke up Saturday morning sore from his Friday night game, and had to miss Iowa's big recruiting weekend against Northwestern, but the local product will be in Kinnick soon.
"I'm going to the Iowa game this Saturday coming up," Alexander said. "I'm looking for a win for Iowa."

The 6-3, 195-pound Alexander lives just five minutes from the University of Iowa's campus, but this weekend will be his first game visit of the fall to any college.
"I haven't been able to get to any games because of football, but I plan on getting out after basketball season," Alexander said.
Among the schools courting Alexander are Iowa, Michigan State, Iowa State and Wisconsin. He is still awaiting his first scholarship offer.
"I talk to Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan State about the same, and those are the schools I talk to most," Alexander said. "We haven't talked so much about scholarships yet. A lot of schools have asked me to come to their camps and I think I am getting my highlight video out in a week or two."
Iowa and Michigan State are the two programs Alexander feels are showing the most interest at this stage. Though he will visit the Hawkeyes this weekend, his first trip to Michigan State may be next summer.
"They want me to come to their camp and see me in person, so I am planning on doing that and showing what I can do up there," Alexander said.
Alexander has helped Iowa City West to a 6-2 record this fall. With his junior season still ongoing, Alexander has already established a new record at his school for career receptions.
