Alexander brings big time explosion

North Little Rock, Arkansas cornerback Kavin Alexander may not have any offers but he has already made a name for himself as one of the most athletic prospects in the country.
That tends to happen when you post some of the combine numbers he does. Ask college coaches everywhere, it is hard to find someone out there who can put together a 4.36 40-yard dash, a 3.90 shuttle, and a vertical leap over 40-inches. That is one explosive package to say the least.

Even with all those other numbers the 5-foot-8 number is the one that seems to cause all the recruiters to hold off on an offer…at least at this point.
Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, and others continue to express significant interest, and in his two camp stops this summer he did not disappoint.
The first stop was in Fayetteville for the Arkansas camp.
"It was real fun," Alexander said. "Coach Ash took me under his wing while I was there. He put me in a group where he could fully evaluate me and then when we were idle he put me in a group and we worked on drills so he could see how I moved my hips and everything. He really took me under his wing and I really appreciate him doing that. If I go up to Arkansas I know I have a coach who will take me under his wing and help me out."
The Razorbacks did not offer and his height did not go unnoticed, but neither did his long arms and ability to cover bigger receivers.
Next on the schedule was the Arkansas State camp.
"It was real fun," Alexander said. "I had recently sprained my ankle so I wasn't fully up there but they were ok with it and they put me through a couple of drills.
"They were real friendly and down to earth and when I couldn't go they were alright with it. They wanted me to be alright for the season more than giving 100-percent at the camp. I tried to give my all at the camp even with the messed up ankle and I had my ankle brace on.
"They really liked that even though I did have a messed up ankle I still ran a 4.4 and they liked that I was the fastest DB there even on a hurt ankle. They were real down to earth and everything."
In July, Alexander hopes to continue his trips.
"I think I'll probably go make an unofficial to Georgia Tech. I'll go down there for a little bit and do a camp and talk to the coaches and all that," Alexander said. "I'm going to Ole Miss. I'm going down to Auburn along with Juan Day. Well, I'm going to see if I can go there with him. We're usually always together so I'll probably go down there with him. And I might go back to LSU."
Florida is another school he hopes to checkout in the near future.
The offers may not be there yet, but it is easy to see why the future is bright for Alexander.
