Randallstown, Md. defensive end Melvin Alaeze has narrowed his list of schools down to six and is ready to begin setting up his official visits.
"My six are Maryland, Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida State, Florida and Ohio State," said the 6-foot-2, 277-pounder. "I will visit Maryland, Tech and Miami for sure and will choose two of the remaining three schools for my last visits."
Alaeze, who is ranked as the No. 1 strongside defensive end in the country and No. 18 overall, has five sacks through his first three games this season and is being triple teamed most times.
"It's frustrating because they have two guys on me and usually bring a running back or tight end to help as well," he said. "I guess as long as I don't make the play they're happy."
Alaeze knows he needs to start setting his visits soon.
"It's about time," he said. "I'm not in a rush because I'm not going to decide until the very end. But I should start scheduling things now."
