Alaeze names two official visits

Randallstown, Md. defensive end Melvin Alaeze has set two schools to receive official visits this fall, but dates have not been set as of yet.
Alaeze, rated the top defensive end in the country, has seen his stock rise considerably following strong showings ate several camps this spring in which he was pitted against such top talent as Virginia commitment Eugene Monroe.

Alaeze moves remarkably quick for a player his size running in the 4.50 range while tipping the scales at nearly 280 pounds.
“So far, I know I’m going to visit Maryland and Virginia Tech,” admitted Alaeze. “I don’t plan on making any visits until the end of the regular season and won’t make a decision until signing day.”
Alaeze was on the campus of the University of Maryland with teammate and fellow target Jamari McCollough. Both Alaeze and McCollough have discussed plans regarding their recruitment.
“Right now, we plan to take four of five official visits together since so many schools are recruiting both of us,” said Alaeze. “I know we’ll probably take one visit each to a school that is recruiting only one of us, but I think we’ll probably wind up going to the same school.”
How did the unofficial visit to Maryland go this past weekend?
“It went well, we just drove down to College Park to check out the team’s practice,” admitted Alaeze.
Alaeze has set some lofty goals for himself this upcoming season as he has his sites set on breaking the state sack record of 31. Randallstown will kick off their season the second weekend of September against Southern.
