Randallstown, Md., defensive end Melvin Alaeze is one of the country's top prospects at his position. And Alaeze has the scholarship offers to prove it.
"I have a lot of offers," Alaeze said. "USC, Miami, Florida, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Boston College, Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, I have about 15 offers. I'm looking at all of them."
"Of the schools that offered, I think I spoke with a coach from every one of them."
"Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, Maryland, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Rutgers, Ohio State, a lot of them have been to my school."
"I'm pretty open. I really don't have a favorite. I'll probably take my official visits in the fall. I'd probably say Maryland, Ohio State, Miami, and Virginia Tech will be visits. I'm not sure about a fifth one."
The 6-foot-3 and 273 pound Alaeze made 50 tackles including 15 sacks during his junior season. He was named all-conference, all-metro, and second team all-state. Alaeze helped lead Randallstown to a 10-3 record.
