Alabama WR gets first offer

Daphne (Ala.) wide receiver Richie Henderson picked up his first scholarship offer on Tuesday from an in-state Sun Belt Conference school.
"Troy offered me," the 6-foot-1, 174-pounder said. "I had heard one of the coaches was trying to get in touch me, so I called him. We were talking and he said that he had a scholarship for me and that they were offering.

"I told them that I would talk it over with my parents when they got home. I'll probably wait a little bit (to commit)."
The Trojans, however, are the current leaders for the 6-foot-1, 174-pounder.
"I would have to say (that Troy leads)," Henderson said.
Henderson also has been getting attention from Louisiana-Lafayette. He plans to camp at both Troy and UL-L this summer.
"I've never been to Troy, so I'm looking forward to going up there this summer and looking at the campus," he said.
Henderson isn't in a hurry to make a decision, but didn't rule out making a commitment this summer.
"It all depends on how the summer goes," he said. "If I take visits and I like it, I could make a decision."
Henderson caught 24 passes for 554 yards (23.1 yards per catch) and eight touchdowns in 2005.
