Alabama TE meets with Shula

With head coach Mike Shula making an in-home visit with three-star tight end Travis McCall, many Crimson Tide fans thought this might be the night that the Prattville standout pulled the trigger on his college decision.
Not so, he says.

“It was a great visit,” McCall said. “We had a good time with coach Shula. I really like him a lot. My family likes him. He talked about how much they want me and how important I am to them, how much I was needed at the tight end position.
“But I didn’t commit or anything. I’m just not ready to do that right now.”
McCall (6-2, 235, 4.78) said he still plans to visit both Alabama and Auburn in January before making his final choice.
“That’s my plan right now,” he said. “I don’t think I’m going to visit Louisville anymore. I’m thinking about dropping that one.”
He had two recent in-home visits with Auburn staff members, and said those talks also went well.
