"Well, I play tight end and defensive end a little bit," Cook said. "I'm hoping that on the next level, I'll be used as an H-back, but I've also had people say they like me on defense. It's really depending on what college coaches want me for."
Auburn, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Marshall, Arkansas, Mississippi State, Illinois, and Iowa State are the schools that Cook says he's hearing from.
Some of those schools are high on his list.
"I have several that I really like and that I would like to go to," Cook said. "It's Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Auburn, and Alabama. I just like their academic programs and they also have good athletic programs to go with it. They have more to offer too in what I want to major in which is sports medicine."
Cook has taken unofficial visits to Auburn and Vanderbilt. He says that he plans to visit Georgia Tech in the next few weeks as well.
The 6-foot-3, 227 pounder says that he's not going to rush the process.
"I kind of want to take things at a slow pace and see what comes my way," Cook said. "When that day comes that I feel comfortable with a school, then I'll make a decision."
Cook says he had 33 receptions for 450 yards and three touchdowns as a junior. He also says he earned all-state honors for his play at tight end along with all-region and all-area honors.
